Tell us more about yourself.

I am a Christian, wife, mother, small business owner and Gwinnett homeowner of 28 years. My two daughters went to school in Gwinnett County. Keeping our county safe has been a priority, as I have a "20 Point Safer Gwinnett Plan." We now have a Second Chance Program. There's a difference between those people who we are mad at, who need treatment, versus those who we are afraid of and who need to be in jail. I'm also working on a Project Prison Prevention Program for our youth with the Council of Youth Anti-Drug, Inc., in collaboration with Georgia Advocates for Crime Prevention, Inc.

What is your job/occupation?

Attorney

What city/neighborhood do you live in?

Lawrenceville

Is this your first time running for office?

No

What experiences have best prepared you to hold elected office?

I am the only candidate in my race who has practiced in all four areas of the law: civil (representing plaintiffs and defendants) and criminal (prosecuted on behalf of the State of Georgia and represented criminal defendants). Moreover, I am the only candidate who has represented all parties to include the middle class, wealthy, poor, celebrities, corporations, governmental entities, etc.

What would be your top priority upon winning office?

To make Gwinnett safer. I have a "20 Point Safer Gwinnett Plan." Part of that plan has already been implemented as a result of my efforts. I have had my feet on the ground and my ear to the heartbeat of the citizens of Gwinnett County. This is important to them, and it is important to me.

What actions would you take to enhance government transparency and trust in government?

There would be transparency in my rulings. I would want both sides to know and understand why I ruled the way I did. Transparency many times equates to trust and faith in the system, even if parties do not agree with the result.

Do you believe Georgia elections are secure and what additional security measures can be taken?

As a judicial candidate, my personal thoughts about election security are irrelevant.

What is government's responsibility to ensure affordable housing?

As a judicial candidate, my personal thoughts about affordable housing are irrelevant.

Do you believe public access to public records is sufficient in your jurisdiction and, if not, what steps do you support to remedy that?

Public access to public records instills faith in transparency in the judicial system, and in government in general. I am definitely interested in being a member of a Judicial Efficiency Committee with other judges, so we can best ascertain ways in which the public can better access public/court records.
