Dublin
Is this your first time running for office?
Yes
What experiences have best prepared you to hold elected office?
I was a leader in the Marine Corps. After my service I obtained my bachelor's degree and worked as a behavioral therapist. After that, I started a small business teaching women how to shoot firearms. I’ve now trained over 10,000 women across Georgia. I understand the issues that people are concerned about with this country. I can relate to people and the issues that they feel are important. I’ve lived a life of service and I think it’s fully prepared me to serve as a senator. I live by my Marine Corps motto of honor, courage and commitment. I am committed to serving the people, as well as being transparent and honest if elected to senate.
What would be your top priority upon winning office?
To address the needs and concerns of my constituents. To see where we need to clean up our government and what can be done to make things more transparent.
What actions would you take to enhance government transparency and trust in government?
I would not allow people to pay me for favors. I would not agree to things that do not benefit the American people. I would stand up to people when I don’t think that they’re making the right decisions. I will never let leadership coerce me into doing something that isn’t beneficial to the people that I serve. I would never create laws that I’m not willing to live under myself.
Do you believe Georgia elections are secure and what additional security measures can be taken?
Our election system could be a lot better. I do not think that the concerns of my constituents is something that needs to be ignored. It would be better to secure the system so that people are confident when they go out and vote. The main thing is that the people who vote have confidence in the system. It’s not up to the elected officials to tell people how to feel about it.
What is government's responsibility to ensure affordable housing?
We need laws that cap how much people can charge for rent based on value of homes. There is no reason someone should rent a single wide trailer for 1200.00 a month, just because they can and because there is a housing shortage. It’s the worst it’s been since 2020.
Do you believe public access to public records is sufficient in your jurisdiction and, if not, what steps do you support to remedy that?
I don’t see an issue with public records in my area.
