Summary

Warner was a Hope Mills commissioner from 2007-09 and the Hope Mills mayor from 2011-13. While mayor, she was sued for using her personal Facebook page to conduct town business and blocking users from accessing it. She issued a public apology following the lawsuit. She is also a former principal, teacher, and coach. Currently, she owns Carleen’s Gifts & Baby Boutique in Hope Mills. She advocates for higher teacher pay and restructuring education funding to better low-performing schools. Specifically, she wants to ensure equitable dollars are being spent on all Cumberland County students. She also plans to work with law enforcement partners to address the school resource officer issue. She has a bachelor’s degree in biology from UNC-Pembroke and a master’s degree in education administration and supervision from Fayetteville State University. She is a registered Republican.
