He has a bachelor's degree from Sarah Lawrence College, a master's degree in writing from Bennington college and a master's degree in finance from Harvard University. He was chair of Youth for Mothers Against Violence and is a member of the City of South Fulton Zoning Board of Appeals. He lives in the Regency Oaks neighborhood.
