Angela was born and raised in rural south Georgia. She has degrees from Emory University and the University of Georgia. She has lived in Marietta for the past several years.

Angela is managing director at Teach for America. She was previously a middle school teacher.

Angela Orange is currently the Board of Education Member for Ward 5. She is the board's newest member, and she was sworn in in January 2018.
