Doreen lives in DeKalb County. She lives in Lithonia with her three sons.

Doreen has a bachelor of arts in accounting from Georgia State University, a master’s in business administration from Kennesaw State University, and a master’s degree in theology from Life Christian University. Doreen is an accountant. She owns a financial education company.

Doreen Carter is State Representative representing District 92. She was first elected in 2015 and has served three terms. In 2014, she was the Democratic nominee for Georgia Secretary of State.
