Allen is a volunteer for ACC Rivers Alive. In 2020, he was awarded Citizen of the Year by Keep Athens Clarke County Beautiful. Allen is an avid kayaker, mountain biker, walker, and local politics wonk.

Allen is currently the founder of Timothy Forward, a community organization that advocates for the Timothy Road corridor area. He previously worked as a mental health professional.

Allen Jones’s campaign for Clarke County District 7 Commissioner is his first entry into politics.
