John Allen, originally from Long Island, New York, attended Arizona State University where he earned a bachelor's degree in business. He and his wife Tina have three grown sons and five grandchildren. They are active members of their local church.

John has previously worked in construction, ground operations at an airline, sales, and as a small business owner. 

John Allen currently serves as the County Treasurer in Maricopa County. He was first elected in 2020 and is serving his first term. He previously served in the Arizona House of Representatives for 12 years, first elected in 2002.
