Tim is a lifelong resident of Yuma, AZ. He grew up in a conservative farming family and graduated with a bachelor's degree in agriculture from the University of Arizona. Tim lives with his wife, Eileen, and their 2 sons.

Tim owns Dunn Farms, Dunn Grain Co., Upstream Development Co., and several Sport Clips Haircut franchise stores in Yuma, Buckeye, and Goodyear. 

Tim Dunn is currently a state representative. He was elected in 2018, and is serving his second term. He is currently the Chairman of the Land and Agriculture committees, as well as the Vice-Chair of the Natural Resources, Energy & Water Committee.
