Lauren Kuby has lived in Tempe for over 36 years with her husband Mike, a transportation geographer, and has two daughters. She earned a bachelor's degree in American history from the University of Chicago and a master's degree in public history from Arizona State University (ASU). Lauren Kuby is a former two-term vice mayor and councilmember in Tempe, and has worked as the leader of ASU's Stardust Center for Affordable Housing and the Family. She has also managed community outreach for the Global Institute of Sustainability and Innovation. Previously, she has been involved in initiatives connecting housing, health, food access, and transportation to develop regional integrated solutions for communities.

Lauren Kuby is a former two-term vice mayor and councilmember in Tempe.
