Taylor graduated from Banks County High School in 2008. He currently lives in Banks County with his wife and two adopted children. Taylor is a member and past master of Hollingsworth Masonic Lodge.

Taylor owns a part dealership and operates a driver development program. He previously owned a sign company and two axe-throwing venues.

Taylor Scott Griffith is currently Vice Chairman of the Banks County Planning Commission.
