Susan earned her bachelor's degree and master's degree in early childhood education and teaching from Columbus State University.

Susan previously worked as Director of Special Projects in the Governor's Office of Planning and Budget, deputy superintendent of the Georgia Department of Education, superintendent of the Muscogee County School District, and superintendent of Harris County Schools.

Susan Andrews currently serves as the Harris County Commissioner representing District 5. She first took office in 2016 and is seeking reelection.
