Lamar County Schools, LCS Board Members:

James is a parent mentor at Lamar County Schools. 

James is a field survey manager for Edwards Pitman and the owner of Butler Land Survey. Previously, he has worked as a survey department manager for Brown Design Group and KCI Engineering, a regional coordinator for Parent to Parent of Georgia, and a survey crew chief for W.L. Jorden and Hill-Fister Engineers. 

James William Butler is currently serving as a member of the Lamar County Board of Education. He was elected in 2020 and is serving his first term.
