Carl was born in Savannah, Georgia, and raised in the Chatham County Schools, where he attended A.E. Beach High School. He later attended Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia and recently received a Doctrine of Divinity from the
New Generation School of Seminary. He formed a positive rap group entitled “Candylove." He is a pastor and the President of the Georgia Coastal Southern Christian Leadership Conference. He is married with children and grandchildren.
