Charlice Byrd lives in Woodstock, Georgia. She earned her bachelor's degree in elementary education from Southeastern Louisiana University. Charlice and her husband Michael are members of First Baptist Church of Woodstock.

Charlice most recently worked as a paid staff member on Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign. She was previously the Director of Special Projects at Cherokee Bank in Canton and a classroom educator.

Charlice Byrd has been the State Representative for Georgia State House District 20 since 2021. She previously held this seat from 2005 until 2013, after losing the race in 2012. Byrd is currently as a member of the Budget and Fiscal Affairs Oversight Committee, Economic Development and Tourism Committee, Game, Fish, and Parks Committee, Human Relations and Aging Committee, Judiciary Non-Civil Committee, State Planning and Community Affairs Committee, Subcommittee on Property and Casualty, and the Transportation Committee.
