Eric holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Morehouse College and a master's degree in international business from Georgia State University. He is active in numerous community organizations and associations, including the Clayton County Community Service Board and the Library Foundation Board and was the founding president of the Young Democrats of Clayton County in 2018.  

Eric has founded several businesses. He was the Government Affairs Coordinator at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta, and a partner with Protegees Atl. Eric served in the U.S. Navy as a Naval Aviation Officer.

In 2023, Eric Bell II won a special general election for the Georgia House of Representatives District 75. He worked with the Economic Development Department of South Africa and Fulton County  He also worked in the office of Senator Lester Jackson as his Deputy Chief of Staff.
