Georgia Assembly: Senator Ben Watson

Ben graduated from the Emanuel County Institute and the University of Georgia. He has a medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. He lives on the Isle of Hope with his wife, Bernice. They have three sons and three grandchildren. Ben is a native of Twin City, Georgia. 

Ben has served as a primary care physician in Savannah since 1988. He specializes in geriatrics. 

Ben Watson served two terms as a State House Representative from 2010-2014. As a representative, he served as the Vice-Chairman of the Health and Human Services Committee, Secretary of the Science and Technology Committee, and a member of the Higher Education Committee. In 2015, he was elected as District 1's State Senator and still serves in this capacity. He previously served as chairman of the Senate Health and Human Services Committee and as a member of the Appropriations, Public Safety, and Transportation Committees.
