Larry is from Perry, Georgia, and holds a Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA) degree from the University of Georgia. He is married to his wife and has three sons with her. The family resides in Kathleen and they are members of the Perry United Methodist Church. 

Larry founded the Walker Insurance Agency, where he has worked there for 28 years. He also has experience as a sales manager for seven years and as a staff accountant for The Coca-Cola Company. 

Larry Walker was elected to the State Senate for Georgia’s 20th District in 2015. He is a member of and holds leadership positions in several Agricultural and Labor committees such as the Insurance & Labor Committee, and the Agriculture & Consumer Affairs Committee.
