Jody is a lifelong resident of Morgan County. She attended the University of Georgia to gain her certification as a court clerk. She is married to Greg and has two children. Jody serves as the president of the Ocmulgee Circuit Clerk's Assocation and a board member of the Georgia Superior Court Clerk's Authority Board. 

Jody worked as a licensed real estate appraiser and a city clerk for the City of Rutledge prior to her election to clerk of superior court.

Jody Milford Higdon is currently the Clerk of Superior Court in Morgan County. She was elected in 2004 and is serving her 5th term.
