Gene volunteers with the Georgia High School Association for basketball, softball and baseball and as an NGAOA Softball umpire and secretary. He also volunteers with Chattanooga Valley Youth Association, Rock Spring Youth Association, Rossville Youth Association and Chickamauga Youth Association, and as an assistant coach for youth softball team. Gene is a member of Peavine Baptist Church. Gene lives with his wife and children in Walker County, Georgia. 

Gene is a project manager at Adman Electric. He has 28 years of experience as an electrician.
