Donnie graduated from John Hancock Academy.

Donnie served eight years in the United States Army as a Military Policeman before joining the Greene County Sheriff's Office. Over the years, he has held various positions within the Sheriff's Office, including Patrol Deputy, Jailer, Investigator, and Commander of the Administrative Division.

Donnie A. Harrison Jr was appointed as the Interim Sheriff of Greene County in 2016, following the appointment of his predecessor to another position. He was then elected Sheriff in a Special Election in 2016, and won the General Election in 2016. He was re-elected in 2021.

Robby graduated from Greene/Taliaferro High School, and attended the Northeast Georgia Police Academy. He is a resident of Greene County, where he raises his sons with his wife.

Robby began his law enforcement career in 1994 as a dispatcher. In 1995, he became a patrolman at the Union Point Police Department. Two years later, he joined the Greene County Sheriff's Office, where he has served in various roles including jail duty, court services, road patrol, and as a K-9 deputy.

The County Sheriff is an elected official who acts as the chief law enforcement officer in their county. They are tasked with operating the county jails, keeping courtrooms secure during trials, and keeping the public safe through proper law enforcement. Each Sheriff's Office in Georgia may look a little different in how they hire and run their teams, but all County Sheriffs have the same duties. These duties include the following:

- Operating the county jail
- Providing court security
- Serving civil papers
- Executing arrest warrants
- Providing primary law enforcement within unincorporated areas of the county
- Working with city law enforcement officers to keep municipalities safe

The County Sheriff and their office are unique to other law enforcement agencies in that it has to answer to the people it serves.
