Eric lives in Fulton County with his wife Julie and their two children. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and government from Morehouse College and a Juris Doctor from Mercer University Walter F George School of Law. He was born and raised in Atlanta. 

Before his role as superior court judge, Dunaway worked as deputy chief assistant district attorney for DeKalb County. He previously worked as assistant district attorney for Paulding County and Fulton County, after starting as an assistant solicitor for the City of Atlanta. 

Eric Dunaway has been a Superior Court Judge for Fulton County since 2017.
