As Chairman of the Laws Committee of the Macon-Bibb County Consolidation Transition Task Force, worked to combine and consolidate the City of Macon and Bibb County laws into a single code of ordinances.

Serves as a deacon of Second Darien Missionary Baptist Church and as a teacher for a Sunday School where he has been for 31 and 34 years respectively.

He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Macon Bar Association. He previously served as a president for the Macon Bar Association, and as a member for the Board of Governors of the State Bar of Georgia and the State Bar’s Disciplinary Review Panel.

Jeffery O. Monroe is Superior Court Judge for the Macon Judicial Circuit. He was appointed to this position in 2019.
