Ed Davis is a longtime community volunteer in Newport, Kentucky. He is a founding member of the Newport Alumni Mentoring Program for Newport Public Schools and a member of the ReNewport Education Task Force. He previously served as president of the Westside Citizens Coalition and is a member of the Newport Historic Preservation Board. Ed has grandchildren who attend Newport schools.

Ed is a retired postal worker. He was also active in organized labor with the steelworkers.
