David is originally from Greensburg, Kentucky. He has a bachelor’s degree in agriculture and a master’s degree in communications from Western Kentucky University. David lives in Greensburg. He is an elder and Sunday school teacher at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church.

David is the primary stockholder and beef producer of the Green River Cattle Company and a managing partner for Central Farmer's Supply.
