Josh has a degree in philosophy from the University of Montana, a certificate in ecological horticulture from UC Santa Cruz, and a master's degree in Agriculture Extension from Cornell University. He served in the US Peace Corps in Thailand. He and his wife Kim have three adult children.

Professional background

Josh is a vegetable farmer in western Montana. He is also the co-founder of Garden City Harvest and the PEAS Program in the Environmental Studies program at the University of Montana.

Political background

Josh is the County Commissioner in Missoula County. He was elected in 2018 and has served one term. He previously served on the Missoula Consolidated Planning Board.
