Greg earned his bachelor's degree in Russian and Eastern European Regional Studies from the University of Washington, and his law degree from the Seattle University School of Law. He is married and has a stepson. The family identifies as Christian, and they attend Bitterroot Family Church in Stevensville. He also coaches the Stevensville High School mock trial team.

Greg is currently the town attorney for Stevensville and Philipsburg. He is also the Special Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Jefferson County. Previously, he worked as a general counsel for Security Services Northwest and Freedom Foundation, and as a partner for Allied Law Group.
