Chad has a bachelors degree in business administration and management from North Carolina State University and a masters degree in business administration and management from Western Carolina University. 

Chad is a State Farm insurance agent. Previously, he was a director of business development for Turnkey Benefits and a human resources manager for Anderson Automotive Group, PLUS Linen and Uniform Service, and Kyocera Mita.

Chad McMahon is currently serving as a Junaluska Sanitary District Supervisor. He was appointed in 2023 and is seeking his first full term.
