Wilmington News Journal: Clinton County GOP chooses McCoy as new county prosecutor

Andrew holds a bachelor's degree in business from Ohio University and a law degree from the University of Dayton Law School. 

Andrew currently works as a partner at the Peelle Law Offices in Wilmington. He also works as the prosecutor for the Village of Blanchester. He previously worked as a chief deputy prosecuting attorney with Clinton County.  

Andrew McCoy currently serves as the Clinton County Prosecutor. He was appointed to this position in 2020. 

As the county prosecutor for the Clinton County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, McCoy reviews the charges individuals are arrested for, determines which cases and charges will be tried in court, drafts and files documents and warrants, prosecutes criminal charges on behalf of the government, and provides sentencing recommendations for convicted felons.
