Kevin Ritter was born and raised in the Detroit area. He attended Central Michigan University and Western Michigan University. Ritter moved to Washington County, Ohio in 2000 with his wife, Khadine, and they have two children, Liam and Anna.

Kevin founded and ran Coast to Coast Athletics, a sports marketing company. He also taught history and government at Ohio Valley University, Washington State Community College, and Veritas Classical Academy.
