Mano earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas and a law degree from Southern Methodist University. He previously served as chairman of the Hispanic Republicans of Texas. He resides in the Memorial area of Houston, Texas, with his wife Melissa and 3 sons. 

Mano currently works as a senior partner at Buck Keenan LLP, specializing in international arbitration law. He also worked for the Texas Board of Criminal Justice as an arbitrator for the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA).
