Texas US Representative, District 11

• Taxes — All bills having to do with the budget must originate in the U.S. House of Representatives. This means the House has a huge effect on federal government spending and how tax dollars are spent.

• Economic Growth — The House passes bills that set levels of government spending on public infrastructure, such as the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) of 2021 which included funding for increased energy efficiency, sustainability, and workforce development in Texas.
