New Bloomingdale mayor formerly served as Pooler city manager

Dennis is currently the mayor of Bloomingdale. He was elected in 2021 and is serving his first term. Before becoming mayor, he served two separate terms on Bloomingdale's city council. He also worked on the Georgia Water Advisory Committee and the Savannah Trade Center board in the 2000s. His longest stint was as Pooler's city planner and city manager, a nearly 20-year role where he oversaw the growth of one of the fastest-developing cities in Chatham County.
