Troy is currently the mayor of Cumming. He was first elected in 2017 and is currently serving his second term. Before becoming mayor, he served on the Cumming City Council from 2010 to 2017.

Wants to reverse the 2013 creation of the Cumming Fair Authority, saying city control of the fair operation makes it more accountable.
