Coretta previously served on the City of Southfield’s Administrative Civil Service Commission, the Southfield Employee Retirement Board, and the Southfield Retiree Health Care Benefits and Trust Board.

Coretta is currently a member of the Southfield City Council. She was first elected in 2021 and is serving her first term.

Wynette Ann Guy' holds an associates degree in business administration, management, and operations from Coastline College, a bachelor's degree in Human Resources and workforce education and development from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, and an honorary doctorate of divinity degree from HSBN International School of Ministry.
