Marian McClellan has a bachelor of arts from Wayne State University and a master of arts from Oakland University. She is the mother of Oakland County Treasurer Andy Meisner and defense attorney Michelle McIver, and proud grandmother of Jessie, Vander, Asher and Levi.

Marian is currently the Mayor of Oak Park. She was first elected in 2011 and re-elected in 2013 and 2015. She has served as Mayor for over seven years.

As mayor, established an Economic Development Department to promote new infrastructure projects, business development, and affordable housing.

Plans to ensure new, high quality affordable housing is built in Oak Park.

Believes having two community relations officers will improve public safety.

As mayor, saved over $2 million in health care costs by changing to a municipal plan.

As mayor, plans to build a concert shell and event hub between the library and city hall.
