Said, "Officers need to go through more mental health training that will better equip them. There are too many instances where situations could have been diffused between officers and citizens. Through proper training, officers would be able to follow the techniques to handle them effectively and save more lives."

Said, "A huge challenge facing the board is a lack of respect amongst the board members and working with members on the board to come up with solutions to problems. They should agree to disagree with one another, and bring the focus back to why they are there. I would maintain my professionalism and present myself on behalf of the citizens who elected me."
