Juandiego Wade is from Richmond, Virginia. He has a bachelor of arts in urban planning from Norfolk State University and a master in urban and environmental planning from the University of Virginia. He lives with his wife, Claudette Grant, and their daughter, Gabriella Ruby Lee Wade, in the Locust Grove neighborhood.

Juandiego is currently a member of the Charlottesville City Council. He was elected in 2021 and is currently serving his first term. He previously served four terms on the Charlottesville City School Board from 2006 to 2021. He also served as Vice Mayor from 2021 to 2023.
