Transparency and Fiscal Responsibility
City government should operate in a transparent manner and be held fiscally responsible. The citizens of St. Marys deserve to know how their tax dollars are being spent and how important decisions affecting their community are being made.

I believe local government should be:
* Efficient
* Effective
* Transparent
* Financially responsible
* Responsive to the citizens

My background in public administration and contracting has given me extensive experience in managing public resources, evaluating contracts, overseeing major projects, and ensuring accountability. As your representative on City Council, I will work to make sure that taxpayer dollars are used wisely and that the City focuses on its most important responsibilities and priorities.

Plans to make city government transparent, fiscally responsible, and focused on the prudent use of taxpayer dollars.

My Platform
Smart and Responsible Growth
St. Marys is experiencing growth and the potential for even greater growth in the future. We must manage that growth carefully. I believe growth can be beneficial to our community, but it must be planned responsibly. We need to grow the city in a smart way that benefits the people who already live here while making our community attractive to new residents and small business owners.

As a City Council member, I will support thoughtful planning and responsible development that considers:
* The impact of growth on our community and quality of life
* The protection of existing neighborhoods and the character of St. Marys
* Opportunities for responsible economic development and small businesses
* The long-term costs and benefits associated with growth
* Collaboration among the City, residents, developers, and business owners

Supports planned development that protects existing neighborhoods, weighs growth's effects and costs, and involves residents, developers, and business owners.

Public Safety Technology and Community Trust
The City of St. Marys has already installed automated license plate reader systems, including Flock Safety cameras, as part of its public-safety efforts. These systems are intended to assist law enforcement in solving crimes, recovering stolen vehicles, and locating missing persons by capturing license plate data in public spaces.

Because these cameras are already in place, the focus must now be on responsible management and accountability. Decisions about their continued use, expansion, or any related policies should be guided by:
* Clear, publicly available policies on data collection, retention, sharing, and deletion
* Regular, transparent reporting on effectiveness, costs, and how the data is used
* Strong oversight by elected officials and meaningful opportunity for residents to ask questions and share concerns
* Independent evaluation of whether the systems are delivering measurable public-safety benefits for St. Marys in a fiscally responsible way
* A commitment that any public-safety technology serves the entire community while respecting the reasonable expectations of privacy held by residents and visitors

Calls for public policies, reporting, oversight, and independent evaluation to govern license plate reader systems while protecting privacy.

Protecting Our Natural and Historic Resources
St. Marys has tremendous natural and historic resources that make our community a special place to live and visit. Our streams, river, wetlands, trees, parks, and historic resources are important to the identity and future of our city. We must protect and enhance these resources so that future generations can continue to enjoy them.

Supports protecting and enhancing St. Marys' streams, river, wetlands, trees, parks, and historic resources.
