Ben Cooke is from Mount Airy, North Carolina. He graduated from Mount Airy City Schools in 1989. He and his wife, Lone, own and operate Cooke Rentals, Inc. They have three children.

Ben is a business owner. He and his wife, Lone, own and operate Cooke Rentals, Inc. He has also assisted the Mount Airy High School football team since 1998. 

Ben is currently a member of the Mount Airy City Schools Board of Education. He was first elected in 2010.
