David K. Baker has a degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and attended the Law School at North Carolina Central University. He is married and has three children. 

David previously worked at Legal Aid of North Carolina and in private practice as an attorney. He also worked as a program coordinator and organizer for nonprofit organizations such as Passage Home Community Development Corporation and The North Carolina Justice and Community Development Center.

On June 7, 2019 I took a solemn oath to do just that. I was afforded the opportunity to serve as a District Court Judge in Wake County, North Carolina by virtue of Governor Roy Cooper’s decision to appoint me to an open seat for Judicial District 10B. Thanks to the citizens of Wake County, in 2022 I was elected to serve for a full four year term.
