After graduating, she took on a full-time position as a Robeson County assistant district attorney in 2013.

Legal Experience

The North Carolina Chief Justice’s Commission on Professionalism recently presented its 2024 Awards to five recipients, including Judge ANGELICA CHAVIS MCINTYRE and Judge REGINA PARKER. Judge McIntyre was the first Native American female chief judge in North Carolina’s history. With the North Carolina Youth Violence Prevention Council, she spearheaded the establishment of a trauma-informed juvenile delinquency court.

How do you volunteer your time in the community? Our youth are some of the most important members of our community; they are our future. Prior to COVID, one of my favorite activities was going to various schools and church youth groups to provide information to students regarding potential crimes our youth may encounter - especially relating to bullying and cyberbullying. I also enjoyed attending school career days to discuss with students potential careers within the judicial branch. Since COVID, my focus has been on using social media to keep our citizens informed about the role of the judiciary in Robeson County.
