Jackie is the sheriff of Lenoir County. He previously worked as a code enforcement officer with the City of Kinston. Before that, he served for 30 years with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, where he retired. He also worked for eight years with the Kinston Police Department, where he served as a patrol officer, narcotics investigator, and SWAT member.
