Dave Matthews has a bachelor's degree in economics and international business and a master's degree in business administration from Sam Houston State University. He and his wife have six children together. He has lived in Parker County for 12 years.

Dave has over 25 years of experience across the military, federal government, and local county government. He is a U.S. Army Veteran who served five years on active duty, followed by three years in the Texas National Guard. Professionally. Most recently, he has worked within a county clerk’s office.
