Adrian Garcia is from Northside, Houston, Texas.

Adrian previously worked as a police officer for 23 years, served as the director of the City of Houston's Anti-Gang Office, and served as Harris County Sheriff. 

Adrian is currently a member of the Harris County Commissioners Court representing District 2. He was first elected in 2018 and re-elected in 2022. Adrian previously served as the sheriff of Harris County from 2008 to 2015 and as a member of the Houston City Council from 2004 to 2008. He ran for U.S. Congress in 2016 but did not win.

Launched the VIPER (Violent Persons Task Force) program to track down and arrest individuals accused of violent crimes with outstanding warrants.

As a county official, approved the hiring of six new associate judges and funding for visiting judges to address a 100,000 criminal case backlog, and called for the creation of new criminal district courts in Harris County.

Supports funding for body cameras, protective equipment, and new technology for law enforcement, as well as overtime for the Harris County Sheriff’s Office to apprehend dangerous criminals.
