She has lived in Denton County for 28 years, raising her children and serving local residents in her clinical and developmental psychology practice. She and her husband have two married daughters and two grandchildren.

Denise is a clinical psychologist and an adjunct professor. She has been a practicing psychologist for over 30 years. She has taught psychology courses at North Central Texas College for seven years. 

Denise previously ran for Texas State Representative, District 63, in 2022 but did not win.

Supports protecting and funding public education, expanding healthcare access, reducing property taxes for the middle class, and promoting individual rights for marginalized groups.

Supports increasing the age for purchasing assault rifles, banning high-capacity magazines, and implementing gun safety measures to keep communities safe.

Supports drafting a state version of the Affordable Care Act, fixing Medicaid, reinstating funds to Planned Parenthood, and incentivizing training for mental health and medical personnel in Texas.
