Pete is a Texas State Senator for District 24. He works at the Texas State Senate, where he has served since 2018. He previously worked at the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department as a Texas Game Warden for 27 years. There he rose to the rank of Colonel and oversaw a $60 million budget, 27 field offices, 127 civilian employees, and 532 commissioned Game Wardens with a statewide operational scope and patrol out to nine nautical miles into the Gulf of Mexico.

Pete Flores is currently a member of the Texas Senate representing District 24. He was first elected in a special election in 2018 and was reelected in 2022. He is serving his second term.
