Mo previously served on the Fulton County Board of Commissioners, representing District 4. She served one term from 2025 to 2026. She previously ran for the Atlanta City Council to represent District 1 in 2017, but did not win.

Mo is currently the owner and principal consultant of Ivory Consulting, LLC, and works as the professor and director of the Entertainment, Sports & Media Law Initiative for the Georgia State University College of Law. She previously worked as an adjunct professor of law for the Howard University School of Law, a radio host, the chief of staff to the Executive Vice President for Warner Music Group, and the general counsel for Ivory Properties, LLC.
