Katie has a bachelor's degree in interior design with a minor in business from Florida State University. She lives with her husband and two children in Ashford Park, where they have lived since 2009. She attends Peachtree Presbyterian Church.

Katie works as a contract interior designer and AutoCAD specialist. She previously worked as a corporate interior designer at VeenendaalCave.
