Dean S. Moore was a member of the Clarkston city council from 2010 until 2017. He first ran in 2009, and he served eight years.

Dean is a superintendent in charge of commercial building and renovation for speciality construction companies. He previously worked as a land surveyor for Washington Gas Light Company and was a customer service specialist with a residential construction company.

Dean is from Northern Virginia. He is on the Historic Preservation Commission and the Technical Advisory Committee. He was previously on the Planning and Zoning Board, the Charter Review Committee and the Clarkston City Council, and he was president of the Urban Redevelopment Agency. He has lived in Clarkston for 24 years. He lives with his wife, who he's been married to for 21 years.
